Mexico Wall

The Mexico wall also known as Mexico – United States barrier is a series of walls and fences that apart the United States border and Mexico. The main purpose behind building this wall is to prevent illegal crossing from Mexico to United States and vice versa and to prevent the smuggling and other illegal things. The wall or barrier consists of group of small physical walls and secured in between with virtual fence.  Virtual fence consists of high-tech censors and monitoring cameras which are controlled by United States Border patrol. This wall is covering almost 930 km of area.

This barrier had started from 1994 and was one of the largest operations to tackle with the transportation of illegal drugs manufactured in Latin America and immigration. The three of them are Operation gatekeeper in California, Operation hold the line Texas and operation safeguard in Arizona.

1954-mile (3,145 km) border between US and Mexico passes a variety of Terrains that includes both desert and urban areas. The areas where more concentrated number of illegal crosses and drug trafficking are found include San Diego, California, El Paso, Texas. The Fence has been completed in New Mexico, Arizona and California and in Texas the work is underway.

Environmental Impact

In April 2008, Homeland Security Department announced their plans to waive around 30 environmental and cultural laws to speed up the construction of the barrier and also announced the plans to minimize the impact of the construction on the environment. United States custom and Border Protection department also conducted an environmental review study to review each vehicle and pedestrian fence segment covered by waiver and present their study to Environmental Stewardship Plans. One more study is conducted by CBP related to the local wildlife.  ESP then analyzes the studies and dismisses the potential for most adverse effects based on sweeping generalization, without any quantitative analysis of any risks by barriers. Around 461 vegetation acres was cleared along the impact corridor.

Till august 2008 around 90 percent of the southern border in Arizona and New Mexico has been surveyed.

Manglour

Mangaur is a town in Haridwar district. Manglour is located on national highway-58 ( Delhi-Haridwar). It is 175 km away from Delhi and near to Roorkee around 10 km. It was named after a king named Mangal Sen.

At the time of British it used to be a Tehseel, Tehseel wali Masjid still present there. And middle school building near Masjid used to Kachhari work. There was a Quila also which walls still exist in Shah Vilayat Masjid and that is a residential area now.

The current chairman of Manglaur is Muhammad Islam.

Manglaur is a city and a municipal board in Haridwar district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Pin code of Manglaur is 247656. [1]

Manglaur is an old place of North Hind which has its own recognition. At one side where it is a matter of pride being a historical place.On the other hand it bear such good people who are owner of unlimited assets. History is witness that its name is on the basis of its bearer whose name was Mangal Sen. For a long time it was the capital of Mangal Sen. Whose symbol is present even today. There is also an evidence from Aaine Akbar (author Abul Fajal) too that it was a historical place.

Manglaur is an historical town where a fort made of brick is present which was built at the time of king Vikramaditya and it was under the control of Brahmenes and Badgujers.

At the time of King Vikaramadiyta (375-414 A.C) Mangal had built this fort. One portion of Wall of that fort is safe in corner of the shirine of hazrat Shah Vilayat (R.A). The width of this wall is 12 ft. And inside this surrounding there is a Masjid present built by Gyasuddeen Balban whose kutba is fitted in the wall of Masjid. From Mangal Sen to British Rule Manglaur was a tehseel.

At most of the time Manglaur was independent and it saw many rise and fall. But after a while it was a state of Punjab. Such time also came when it was declared a district. But british rule has taken back the status of district and convert it into tehseel. And later on the state of tehseel also taken back and made roorkee the tehseel.

The building where was the offices of tehseel at that time that building converted into 'Middle oriental school’. This building had been famous by name of middle school after independence.

At present there is a Masjid nearby this school which is known as “tehseel wali masjid”. And where was the main center of rule it is known as the name of Quila. Which is surrounded by roads and markets? After seeing this structure it can be said there was a trench around this quila by four sides for enemies. So that enemies could not reach inside Quila.

Presently the Fort is converted into Mohalla Quila which is surrounded by following roads, Nagar Palika Chowk to Sarrafa Bazar road, Main Market to Haidri Chowk road, then mohalla malakpura to Nagar Palika Parishad road.

At that time there was very less population outside town which is known as by the name of different Mohallas. These Mohallas have old buildings present still today. As Mohalla Lal Bag (Lal Bara), Jain Gali, kathaira have some old building which are witness of it historical.

Entry of Muslim[edit]
After the entry of muslims, Manglaur was the unprecedented model of ulma, fazla, sufiya kiram and sanat wa harf. Sultan Sabakatgeen (About 387 Hijri) come in Manglaur and defeat the king aanand pal. Abuabbas bin ahmad asfar aayni was his (Sabakgeen) minister at that time. At that time Manglaur was the independent state of Panjab. Its area was 5000 murabba miles at that time.

At the time of Sultaan mahmood gaznavi ( mautfi 421 hijri e.i. 1001 AC), the Farooqi family came in Manglaur, Who founded Madarsa and khankah there for education. In 6 AC, Sulaimaan gyasudeen gauri has brought the generation of Amirul Momineen Hazrat Hasan (R.A).

At that time it was known as dawaba Manglaur, Bhosak pura Mangal sen. There was a big factory (karkhana) of islah saji. Hasni was good in islah Saji and kamaan saji, Today they are known as kamangarana.

Hazrat Maulana sheikh Jamaluddin Gaznavi (R.A) Mijaz Hazrat Sheikh ahmad chisti (R.A) is from the hasani generation. Whose grave is present in mohalla malakpura at the bank of Jamaal pond. Today this pond is known as Jamaal Garha. In 7th hijri, Hazrat Shah Abdul Gafur Kardataani came in Manglaur whose shrine was built by Gyasuddeen Balban.

In 1857 when there was the rule of British and First freedom battel was ready to begin. At that time a Madarsa “Jamiya Arbiya Al Momineen was established in Manglaur.

He was the muasir of Maulana Muhammad Qasim Sahab Nanotavi. His grave is in Jama Masjid Manglaur.

Photographer Sebastian D’Souza

Everyone knows that Sebastian D’Souza was on the front pages of all the newspapers all over the world as he is the only photographer to shoot the pictures of Ajmal Kasab and Esmail Khan responsible for the Mumbai Attack on November 26, 2008.

Sebastian D’Souza was born on 23 August 1952 in Mumbai and completed his primary qualification from Dr. Antonio D’Silva Technical High School, Mumbai. He worked in a Filmcell which is a Mumbai based ad agency and later on became a news photographer and joined The Daily, Mumbai in 1981. Later on he worked with AFP news agency from 1989-2006 and as a photo editor in Mumbai Mirror from 2007-2012

The close-up photograph of Militant Kasab, holding an AK47 was used by the media all over the world and brought Sebastian D’Souza an instant fame.

When the two Militants Ajmal Kasab and Esmail Khan were shooting people blindly at Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a photographer ,D’Souza was shooting the Attackers but from his camera.  The photographs were taken from the Nikon camera using a telephoto lens from inside a train carriage.

D’Souza was working in his office which is just opposite the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus, rushed towards the point when heard the gunfire and screaming of people. He ran to the first carriage of one of the train on the platform and try to click photographs but due to bad angle move to the second carriage and waited for the gunman to walk by.

D’Souza once in an interview said that he was spotted capturing the photos by the militants but they dint care about that.

The contract of D’Souza with Mumbai Mirror ended in 2011 but was given an extension for three years. D’Souza chooses to retire in May 2012 and decided to devote his time in art and painting which was his school time passion.

D’Souza is the first news photographer to capture terrorist live in action. He also became the first Indian news photographer to won the World Press Photo Award for that picture in 2009.

Who is Gaurav Tiwari

Gaurav Tiwari is superintendent of Police (SP) of Katni district from 2010 batch. According to state govt congress He is being transferred to Chidderwala because he has found some loophole in the opposition party. But the opposition says that he has been transferred because of this outstanding performance, as he is transferred to biggest district.  According to them Gaurav Tiwari had nothing to do with hawala racket as media interference is coining this term.

Jallikattu Ban and Controversy

What is Jallikattu?

India is land of cultures and traditions with numerous varieties. One of them is Jallikattu, popularly known as “Bull-Taming” in Extreme South India, Tamil Nadu, played just after the four days of Pongal festival. Jallikattu have combinedly form with two words, Jalli means “Silver or Gold coins” and Kattu means “Tied.”Amalgamating both states, coins tied on bull’s horns and whosoever will tame bull would be the winner.
